    Welcome New Students!

    Students are Eligible to register for orientation when the following has been completed:

    • Accept admission in MyNevada
    • Complete the Advanced Registration process and deposit
    • Submit required immunization
    • "Sign up for Orientation" appears on your MyNevada to-do list
    • Please note, it can take 24-48 hours for the system to update once you complete the above


    A    ll first-year students are required to participate in an orientation program. Orientation prepares you to get involved, get connected, and make the most of services that help you succeed at the University of Nevada, Reno. International students are invited to attend but not required

    First-year students may choose from among several single-day programs. All orientation sessions take place on campus. We encourage you to register your parents or other supporters to attend the simultaneous Family Orientation program.

    During the week before your orientation date, you will receive required pre-orientation and pre-advising materials to complete online.

    During the week after you attend orientation, you will have a virtual, one-on-one meeting with your academic advisor to go over requirements for your major and discuss changes to your class schedule.
