The University of Nevada, Reno would like to invite you to attend our Best and Brightest Fly-Up Trip, taking place on Friday, January 31st, 2025!

The Nevada Bound Student Fly-Up Trip is a one-day chaperoned visit to the University of Nevada, Reno. This free* student fly-up trip is for high school seniors from southern Nevada.

During this one-day chaperoned fly-up visit, we hope to share many reasons why Nevada is a contender for top students such as yourself. You will:

Discover and navigate the steps to apply for admission and the Honors College.
Learn about financial aid and scholarships straight from the experts.
Explore your future major and meet the faculty who will be helping you.
Hear from our Housing experts about your timeline and options.
Take a walking tour of the campus and enjoy lunch with us; our treat!

*This is a free trip that is contingent on your GPA or Test Scores and when you registered for the trip. Register now as space is limited! A student must meet one of the following to be eligible to attend:

3.7 unweighted cumulative GPA or above
26 ACT or above
1230 SAT or above

The student is completing an event REQUEST to attend the Las Vegas Student Fly-up trip.
The student must pay the $99 trip fee for trip consideration.
The student must submit transcripts for trip consideration. Students must have a qualifying GPA or test score to attend.
If the student is a high school senior, they must apply to the university for trip consideration. The University of Nevada, Reno's admissions application is free and students can apply here
You and the student are responsible. It is your responsibility to ensure your registration information, transcripts, and payment are received by the Las Vegas Nevada Bound Coordinator. Allow 6 business days, excluding holidays, before following up on your Nevada Bound file.
We can not guarantee last minute changes to your trip. Please ensure that all information is correct upon registration such as legal name, date of trip, and correct email.
We can not guarantee shuttle transportation for parents/guests. If a parent/guest is attending Nevada Bound and is travelling with the student that morning, it is their responsibility to find transportation to campus. Shuttles to campus are for students and spaces are extremely limited. For more information about spaces on the shuttle, please contact our office.

I will not make changes to the airline ticket(s). The parent/legal guardian and student will not make changes to airline tickets purchased for the Nevada Bound Fly-up Program. If any changes are made without the consent of the Las Vegas Nevada Bound coordinators, the parent/legal guardian and student will be responsible for an additional $400 fee.

The student/participant will participate in ALL pre-arranged Nevada Bound activities. If the student/participant fails to do so or leaves the University's campus at any time, the parent/legal guardian and student will be responsible for any additional fees and the student will not receive an official excused absence from the University.

The parent/legal guardian and student understands this is a REQUEST to attend the Nevada Bound Fly-Up Program. Students must have a completed registration for trip consideration (see above for details). Airline tickets are purchased after eligibility is determined and is subject to flight availability on Southwest Airlines.

The parent/legal guardian and student understands the ticket confirmation number and instructions for the day will be emailed to the student/participant once a ticket is purchased. You are responsible for checking the email and understanding its contents.

The parent/legal guardian and student understands that in the event of a Southwest Airlines return flight cancellation while students are in Reno, the University will make reasonable efforts to reschedule students on the next available direct flights through Southwest Airlines, which may not depart the same day as the original flight and thus may require students/participants to stay the night in Reno. Subject to availability and reasonable cost. If direct flights through Southwest Airlines are not available, a charter bus may be used.

As a parent/legal guardian of the Nevada Bound participant, I hereby grant permission to the University of Nevada, Reno to use photography/video of student in any University print or online publication without further consideration. I acknowledge the University's right to crop or display the photo/video at its discretion.

Parent/Legal Guardian Authorization: Terms and Conditions

I agree to hold the Board of Regents of the Nevada State of Higher Education on behalf of the University of Nevada, Reno ("University"), its employees and agents form and against any claim of damages concerning any injury or sickness suffered by my students/participant due to the negligence of person other than employees or agents of the University when such injury or sickness occurs during or as a result of this activity. In addition, I understand it is the policy of the Nevada Bound Program that either as the parent or legal guardian of a student/participant in the Nevada Bound Program my student/participant will fly with the group TO AND FROM Reno on the day of the program to participate in the day's activities. My student/participant understands that participation in all Nevada Bound activities is required. Under no circumstance will my student/participant leave the program or campus without the express consent from a University faculty member/chaperone. I understand the Nevada Bound Program is a GROUP EVENT FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS ONLY and under no circumstance will exceptions be made to accommodate changes to the above policy.
