The University reserves the right to decline a child’s participation where a child has previously attended a University camp where the participant’s prior behavior violates any rule of the University or where a participant and has had documented incident(s) of behavior that is/are detrimental to the best interest of other participants, counselors, University staff or other persons associated with the camp.

Camp Policies and Information

Our summer camps admissions are on a first come, first serve basis. Once you have submitted your registration, you will receive a confirmation email confirming your child's place in the camp. A $50 non-refundable deposit per camp is due at the time of registration. The remainder of the camp fee is due one month after registration. Camp fees, minus the $50 non-refundable deposit and credit card surcharge, are refundable as long as a cancellation notice is received by our office at least 30 days prior to the start of the child's chosen camp.

Additional camp information, including a campus map, drop off and pick up information, and camper waivers will be sent to parents/guardians in a confirmation email and must be completed at least 1 month before the start of camp.

By registering, I grant permission to the University of Nevada, Reno to photograph, record, or otherwise capture my child's image or likeness during camp program activities. I understand that these images and recordings may be used in promotional materials, social media, publications, or other communications produced by the organization. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials and acknowledge that no compensation will be provided. If I prefer my child to not to be photographed or recorded, I will notify the Camp Coordinator Paige Froese at engrk12@unr.edu in writing before the start of the camp program.

Payment and Financial Aid

The cost to attend our engineering summer camps is as follows: $50 NONREFUNDABLE deposit included in each price.

The cost of our Engineering Everywhere as well as Invention & Innovation camps are $400
The cost of our Aerospace Engineering Mini-Camp is $215
The cost of our Engineering Adventures camp is $450
The cost of our Civil and Environmental Engineering by J-U-B camp is $250

You may pay by credit card. Paying by credit card includes a 6% surcharge.

Full payment of the camp fee is due within 30 days of registration. Failure to submit full payment by this deadline may result in cancellation of the registration and forfeiture of the participant’s spot in the program. At the time of registration, families may elect to pay the required non-refundable deposit only, with the remaining balance paid at a later date, or to pay the deposit and full remaining camp balance in full. The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.

Refund requests submitted at least thirty (30) days prior to the first day of the registered camp are eligible for a refund of paid fees, less the non-refundable deposit and a six percent (6%) processing fee. Refunds are issued by check and mailed to the address on file. Camp payments are non-refundable with less than thirty (30) days’ notice prior to the first day of the registered camp due to high demand and extensive waitlists, as this advance notice is necessary to allow sufficient time to offer vacated spots to waitlisted participants.
